Resident Evil Village DLC and RE:Verse Gets Announced.
The Collection of DLCs and the multiplayer tie-in game RE:Verse will be getting their release on October 28th, 2022 with the Resident Evil VR mode for the PS5's PSVR2 headset also rumoured to be arriving around the same timeframe. Here's what each pack includes.
Dubbed "The Winters' Expansion", this set of three Resident Evil DLC add-ons includes a new campaign, additional mercenaries content and a whole new way to play the game.
The first, and most featured of the three DLCs was "Shadows of Rose", a continuation of Resident Evil Village set 16 years after the events of the campaign. This new story follows Rosemary Winters on a journey to try and free herself from her supernatural abilities. The DLC seems to be a lot more straight with its horror than the main story and will be played in a third-person perspective.
The second DLC continues from this announcement and adds a third-person mode to the main story of Resident Evil Village, a massive surprise due to the Ethan Winters games in the Resident Evil franchise being built around first-person.
The final Resident Evil Village DLC is all about the additional Mercenaries mode, adding the new playable characters of Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg and, of course, Lady Dimitrescu who can batter around her foes while looking down at them from over nine feet in the air. A power fantasy that many players will appreciate.
