Pokemon Unite Tier List: Which character is the best?

Pokemon Unite 1.2.1.12 has a roster of 27 characters. Pokemon are divided into five different roles: Attacker, Speedster, Defender, All-Rounder, and Supporter.

We've ranked each of these Pokemon and their power in the current meta below!

Pokemon Unite Tier List

As with every rank, there is a certain pinch of subjectivity. The list is based on popularity and the probabilities of winning matches. However, dedication and practice with any hero can lead to lethal combinations.

POKEMON TIER LIST: Time to define which Pokemon are on the meta

S - Meta Pokemon

  • Lucario (All Arounder): With the best early game and the talent to reduce the cooldown of its abilities while the game is older. Lucario has remained at the top of the rank since day one.
  • Zeroara (Speedster): We can compare Zeroara with a fine, powerful blade, either can cut through enemies or harm its wielder.
  • Blastoise (Defender): Tank meta is still a thing in Pokemon Unite. Blastoise can move to the middle of a battle, protect allies and trap enemies. Sometimes with just some scratches.
  • Eldegoss (Supporter): With better teamwork and strategies, support start to find their place in high-tier games. Eldegoss, in the bottom line, makes life hard for all opponents.
  • Sylveon (Attacker): Despite being nerfed, this attacker's high mobility and sustained DMG is the most reliable in its position.

A - Great Pokemon

  • Gredeent (Defender): Described as many players as annoying. Greedent durability and damage in the late game make him a force to reckon.
  • Cinderance (Attacker): Versatile pokemon can be used in a line or a Mid lane (Jungle). Cinderance has a long-range burst.
  • Talonflame (Speedster): this Pokemon can cover a significant portion of the map, pursuing and escaping. With good timing, he can snipe targets.
  • Crustle (Defender): After the last buff, Crustle can add to its defensive tactics good DMG. Great Pokemon as long as you do not fall in the temptation to use him as Jungler.
  • Mr. Mime (Supporter): Not the easiest Pokemon to play. In the right hands, he can take on defending an entire line by himself.
  • Mamoswine (Defender): The Crowd Control arsenal of Mamoswine gives him the upper hand in most matches.
  • Blissey (Supporter): The ability to buff and protect one ally makes the difference in close matches.
  • Wigglytuff (Supporter): We always believe this Pokemon has everything to shine. Players found ways to use her full potential to the point TiMi nerf her ultimate recently. But Wigglytuff is still good.

B - Good Pokemon

  • Greninja (Attacker): very weak in the early game. Skills are very situational and challenging to learn.
  • Charizard (All Arounder): Despite many Buffs, Charizard stays as an average option.
  • Snorlax (Defender): Do not get us wrong. He is still an outstanding Defender. However, the game starts to change in a way, Snorlax falls a bit behind.
  • Gengar (Speedster): Its invisibility and excellent mobility make it very fun to play. But he never recovered after the first big Nerf he received.
  • Decidueye (Attacker) this plant-type Pokemon move set is very good in theory. However, by the time it is viable other characters have already taken advantage.
  • Pikachu (Attacker) is very fun to play. However, he is very squishy and lacks damage in the late game when it is more needed.
  • Slowbro (Defender) Defenders are an excellent pick. It could be higher in this rank but compared with other Pokemon in its position. Also, Slowbro Unite Move, focusing on only one enemy at a time, is not that useful in team fights.

C - Okay Pokemon

  • Venusaur (Attacker): After the Nerf that prevented entire teams' obliteration, players again noticed the lack of mobility that hurt Venusaur.
  • Cramorant (Attacker): They also Nerf Cramorant Unite Move and practically with poor mobility is not very fun to play.
  • Absol (Speedster): Speedsters are not doing very well in the current meta. Absol struggles to clean the wild pokemon as fast as other Pokemon.
  • Alolan Ninetales (Attacker): In a meta where burst damage is winning games, Alolan is in a wrong spot with just decent sustained damage.
  • Gardevoir (Attacker): This Pokemon almost falls into a niche use. Her abilities require a lot of practice and high skills to gain experience fast. However, the right hands can change the tide of the game.

D - Niche Pokemon

As we mentioned, every Pokémon in the right hands can be deadly. But so far, these look very situational.

  • Garchomp (All Arounder): The strongest in the late game, consequently in short matches, players have no time to see its potential. It feels lackluster.
  • Machamp (All Arounder): It is suitable for keeping pressure and very simple to use. But in the end, it does not feel more than just good. Nothing special. Not very fun.

The game is pretty balanced for right now, with a nice diverse meta near the top. There is no significant competitive difference between the Highest tier and Pokemon as Snorlax and Slow Bro in a B tier. There are just a few Pokemon that seem more difficult than others.
