After a long wait, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is finally almost here. You can play it for yourself starting this Friday, January 28th.
Only time will tell how well the game is received in the long run.
How big is Pokemon Legends Arceus?
Looking at the Nintendo eShop store page for Pokemon Legends Arceus, you'll be pleased to know that it looks like the new Pokemon game is only going to be around 13GB in size. This is quite large for a Nintendo Switch game, but this isn't as large as it could have been. Looking at other games of a similar ilk, it's actually one of the smaller titles out there.
Breath of the Wild clocks in at around 14.4GB and, surprisingly, the Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl remakes are a whopping 20GB! This could signpost that Pokemon Legends Arceus is a smaller game, but we're not so sure it will stay that way.
For one, we don't know if the 13GB file size is going to be accurate come launch. It does bode well, but Day One updates exist and could tack on quite a lot of GB to your overall file size. You shouldn't worry about this game seeming a little smaller than other Pokemon games, though. We expect this to be a game with hours of content available and post-launch updates should help cement this game's place in the pantheon of great Pokemon games.
