NVIDIA has just announced the next step in GPU technology during CES 2022. The RTX 3090 Ti is a powerhouse that is, as you might imagine, even better than the 3090 and the next step forwards if you're looking for the best components for your PC. Here's everything you need to know about it.
NVIDIA announces RTX 3090 Ti GPU
We don't know a lot about the RTX 3090 Ti GPU yet, but it was the final thing NVIDIA announced during this year's Consumer Electronics Show, the leading tech event for the latest in, as you might imagine, consumer electronics.
According to The Verge, the RTX 3090 Ti GPU is going to be around 10% faster than the 3090 and should match the following stats:
- 24 GB of GDDR6X RAM, running at 21 Gbps;
- 40 TFLOPS of GPU performance;
- 78 TFLOPS of memory for ray-tracing;
- 320 TFLOPS of memory for AI tasks;
These cards might look identical to one another, but they're far from equal - even the RTX 3090 is going to be noticeably slower. This is only going to be a purchase for those of you looking to push the boundaries, or those of you looking to use your PC for development and design - however, it's an important benchmark that's only proving that things are going up and up.
The newest triple-A games are going to continue to push the boundaries of what's possible and you're going to need to get your hands on the RTX 3090 Ti if you want any chance of keeping up.
At the moment, we don't know how much this will cost and we don't know how available it's going to be when it is released - but we're expecting this to be hard to come by. Perhaps the RTX 3090 will go down in price, though, when it launches...
NVIDIA is going to provide more details on this GPU later this month, stay tuned...
