The next promotion for NHL 22 is on the way and we're sure it'll be quite the holiday theme, especially as we get deeper into winter.
Last year, the Winternational Event was the highlight of the winter promotion in NHL 22, could we possibly see the event again this year?
Let's go over what we expect to see this year for the NHL 22 December promotion.
NHL 22 December Promotion Predictions
We already know that there will be some sort of winter theme in NHL 22, more than likely centered around the holidays. We expect to see ice rinks decorated with wreaths, Christmas trees, etc.
What we don't know is which events will find their way into HUT and World of Chel when the promotion is finally revealed. In NHL 20 we saw the addition of the Holiday Sweepstakes Event.
Considering there will more than likely be multiple NHL 22 events and themes spread across the game mode, we're going to split them up here so that when they're revealed you'll know all the details.
NHL 22 HUT December Event
Last year, the December event for NHL Hockey Ultimate Team was the Winternational, an event that showcased new sets within HUT. This is likely something that will continue in NHL 22.
Last month, we seen the Fantasy Hockey Evo event where players cards were updated depending on how they performed in real life on the ice. We could see something similar to that as well.
There was also the NHL 22 HUT Rivals event and we could see that continue for NHL 22 in December. Once the NHL 22 December Event is officially revealed, we'll keep you updated here.
NHL 22 World of Chel December Event
The World of Chel December event will work much differently than HUT 22 will and will be primarily player-focused. We'll likely see different themes and items added into Be A Pro as well.
The Pro Am ice rinks will also be decorated in fun and festive winter themes, making them a ton of fun to play on. We also expect to see holiday-themed rewards to customize our Be A Pro player.
As far as special Ones and Threes events, we aren't entirely sure if we'll see those or not, but we expect EA to go all out when it comes to their NHL 22 December Event.
