Warzone Season 5 is here and, although there isn't going to be any major changes to Verdansk '84 just yet, there is going to be something you will want to try out. Raven Software is adding a brand-new perk to Warzone that's exclusive to the battle royale game. Combat Scout is the new Warzone perk and here's what it does.

What does Combat Scout actually do?

Combat Scout is, as the name suggests, a reconnaissance perk that is best used when in a team with sharpshooters.

" Operators receive a burst of in-field intel, as damaging an enemy briefly highlights the foe in bright orange and automatically pings them."

If you can effectively communicate with your team, this should help your visibility and make you that little bit more effective in the field. There's no word on which Perk slot this will take up, yet, but it might be worth factoring into your strategy.

It is also worth noting that it looks like this won't highlight the enemies in orange for your teammates. Rather, just for yourself. If you're good with a Sniper Rifle, this will be handy but it might not be as viable as you first think.

When does Combat Scout get added to Warzone?

The Combat Scout perk is being added to Warzone at the same time as the launch of Warzone Season 5. This means we know when it's coming out.

Warzone Season 5 is started on August 12th at the following times:

  • 21:00 August 11th - PST
  • 00:00 August 12th - EST
  • 05:00 August 12th - BST
