NBA 2K21 has been the top earning game in September, and it's one of the most anticipated next-gen titles around.
2K is showing off just what their specially-built next-gen version looks like, and it is going to to totally change the game.
Next-gen gameplay
The Visual Concepts has been hard at work creating a truly next-gen game for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
In a new gameplay video executive producer Erick Boenisch and gameplay director Mike Yang give a commentary to it as well.

Next-gen hardware has made a lot of things possible with this version of NBA 2K21.
From better AI to impressive visuals, tweaks to shooting, and more there is a lot that's new for players.
The gameplay features a new dynamic rail cam, similar to what fans experienced in the bubble during the playoffs. It shows off some of the new impact engine capabilities, as well as better arena atmosphere and of course the epicly fast load times players will enjoy on next-gen.
New commentary team
The next-gen version has a second NBA commentary crew, adding further depth and realism to the title.
Brian Anderson, Grant Hill, and Allie LaForce provide their voices for a more complete NBA universe.
New game modes coming
2K isn't done there. Today's release also talks about an upcoming reveal of new game modes!
"This Thursday, 2K will reveal new game modes and features exclusive to the next-gen version of NBA 2K21 and further down the road – a full unveil of NBA 2K’s online basketball community feature that replaces the experience known as the Neighborhood."
When it comes to next-gen, 2K is dunking on the competition.
