We're here to make you a better fielder with our MLB The Show 22 Fielding Guide. Scooping up grounders and delivering throws will be much easier.
Catching those pop fly balls against the back wall and stealing runs will also be easier by using this guide as well.
So, let's get started with our MLB The Show 22 Fielding Guide.
MLB The Show 22 Fielding Guide
Fielding in MLB The Show 22 is pretty simple but nearly impossible to master, especially the meter to throw the ball to various bases.
Obviously, paying attention to the zones in the game is important, but timing it in the correct meter will hopefully ensure that you don't commit an error.
We'll go over the complete controls below, but one of the things we want everyone to focus on is making plays at the back wall.
If you can get it down, you'll be able to steal home runs from your opponent in MLB The Show 22. Now let's take a look at the actual controls.
Fielding Controls for PlayStation
The controls are essentially the same on each platform but remember you can change some of the MLB The Show 22 controls, including batting and pitching.
As we mentioned above, timing is probably the most important thing, but if you look at your controller, the buttons are in the shape of a baseball diamond.

The PlayStation controls above are essentially the same on Xbox just with different button layouts.
Another area of MLB The Show 22 fielding to keep in mind is that you can sprint and make plays on the foul ball as well. You can perform double plays by initiating the sequence of bases you wish to throw to.
