Minecraft is a pretty huge game due to get even bigger. If you're looking forward to the future, here's what we know about Minecraft the wild so far.
Latest - 2022 is here now
Now that Caves and Cliffs is behind us and 2022 is here, we're preparing for the wild. This huge update is due sometime this year and we wouldn't be surprised if it was split into two parts like last year.
We'll have to wait another few months for some information.
Minecraft 1.19: The Wild Release Date
Minecraft's next update, The Wild, doesn't have a specific release date just yet.
Much like Caves and Cliffs last year, The Wild has been given a release date of 2022.
The Caves and Cliffs update was split into two parts last year for its massive amount of changes, and with The Wild likely rivaling that size, it may arrive in parts by the time 2022 rolls around.
New Biomes
The Wild introduces several new biomes to Minecraft, and more could be revealed over the development process.
For now, we know Minecraft 1.19, The Wild, will include the following new biomes:
- New Swamp biomes (reworks and new variations)
- Mangrove Forest
- Underground Deep Dark biome expansion
- Deep Dark Caves
These new additions could be broken up into several variant biomes or simply focused into one massive rework and expansion of both.
For now, know that The Wild will make some massive changes to Minecraft Swamp biomes, as well as building the Deep Dark out with new Skulk features and danger from Wardens.
This update takes a unique dark tone, and these biomes will certainly be spooky as a result.
New Mobs
We don't have a full list yet of what Minecraft 1.19 The Wild update may bring in terms of new mobs to the series, but we do have some reveals already.
This includes a range of new Frog mobs that vary based on the biome they're found in which also start as tadpoles, Fireflies,
The Wild will also finally introduce The Warden, pushing their launch back from the original Caves and Cliffs update timeline.
