League of Legends Zeri Buffs

League of Legends Season 12 brought on several innovative and new champions. One of them, Zeri, not only was the first to be released but also proved to be the most problematic.

In response to that, the developers at Riot Games nerfed her numerous times plummeting her win rate. Now the developers are looking to prop her back up in Season 13.

Zeri Buffs coming for Season 13 to combat her falling win rate

The Spark of Zaun was an absolute menace upon release. Her high damage, extraordinary movement, and extremely good scaling made it impossible to stop the ADC when she got going. Noticing her power, Riot gave her nerfs... several of them.

ELECTRIFYING: The Spark of Zaun receives a jolt in Season 13

As patches went live in League of Legends Season 12, Zeri received more and more changes, until the LoL 12.16 update hit. Unlike the nerfs she had received up to that point, seemingly the ones in that mid-season patch finished her off. Since then, the ADC's win rate has been steadily falling, making its approach to 40% win rate as of Season 13's start according to lolalytics.

Noticing her steep decline, Riot is handing the marksman a complete overhaul to start Season 13.

"Zeri with 900 range, an infinite ult, and high damage had almost zero weaknesses in coordinated play,” stated Riot developer TheTruexy. "[We are] making her be in threat range more and commit her E to have her zippy payoffs and carry moments.”

She will be undergoing extensive changes from top to bottom, particularly giving her more tankiness and damage while making her more vulnerable due to the shorter range.
