LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has had an interesting relationship with leaks in general as a release date has been speculated multiple times now. However, it now appears that we have solid confirmation of a date thanks to a two-stage leak from two different sources.
Both the Microsoft digital store and GAME, a UK retailer have let slip the same release date and we're starting to think there are some legs to these rumours!
LATEST - Release Date Confirmed
In a follow up to the leaks, TT Games have now confirmed the release date of Tuesday, 5 April for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Release Date Leaked
Thanks to the latest round of leaks, Tuesday, 5 April looks set to be the release date for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This was posted in a tweet that was very hastily deleted by UK retailer GAME.
This same date was also listed on the Microsoft Store and it's worth noting that it's highly unlikely that this is just a placeholder. If it was, the Microsoft Store wouldn't have something so specific and would instead list only a month or the first or last day of a selected month.
The fact that these two sources both have the same information is all we need for this leak to have some real weight. Naturally, April is still months away and given that the game has already been delayed twice across two years, more issues are always possible.
The materials that GAME posted in their now-deleted tweet does suggest that the date might be something solid from the developer. It also contained details about additional editions of the game and the content that comes with them. In line with previous games, a special Minifigure looks like it will be included with the Deluxe Edition of the game as well as some downloadable content.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
