The professional League of Legends season culminates each year in the biggest tournament, the World Championship, and in Season 12, Worlds 2022 excitement is already in the air.
Worlds is an international event that houses over 20 pro teams from different regions around the world in one location—North America this time around—and pits them against one another in a month-long tournament. The winner hoists the new-look Summoner's Cup and gets to proclaim themselves as the best team in the world.
As always, this tournament is played on a specific patch to avoid any major shifts in the meta and to withhold competitive integrity.
With that in mind, here's what LoL patch Worlds 2022 will be on.
What LoL patch is Worlds 2022 on?
The year's biggest international tournament, Worlds 2022, will be played on LoL patch 12.18.
This update will contain minor changes that focus on making small tweaks to some of the champions buffed in the LoL 12.17 patch. Champions like Miss Fortune, Hecarim, and the recently adjusted Maokai will get some balancing touches. Additionally, it gives the newly reworked Udyr a look and buffs Lee Sin, priming him for Worlds 2022. Lastly, it brings some other general balancing and tuning.
