League of Legends is one of the most popular video game titles in the world. With millions of players participating in all of the high-octane action Riot Games' MOBA provides, there is a ton to get involved in on and off the rift.
However, with that many players being that active sometimes the game's servers tend to struggle. Bugs, random kicking from matches, and even not allowing players to join, often plague the game's servers.
Sometimes though, it isn't on your end as you've checked all of your internet and PC boxes. That leaves the issue to the game's servers.

How to check League of Legends server status
After you've dotted your i's and crossed your t's when it comes to issues between you and League's servers, i.e. checking your internet connection and the like, it's time to begin looking elsewhere. This, of course, means you'll be checking if the game's server itself is experiencing issues.
There are a few ways to go about doing this in League of Legends. Although they all seem similar in their purpose each of them can still provide an extra bit of insight as to what is going on.
Here are some methods:
Check Riot's Official Server Status Website
First and foremost, the best way to check League of Legends' server status is to go to Riot's official Server Status page. This website provides server status across all of Riot's titles. Here are some steps to follow when it comes to League's server status:
- Click on League of Legends
- Select server of choice (BR, EUNE, EUW, JP, KR, LAN, LAS, NA, OCE, RU, TR)
- That's it! If there are server issues they will appear there

Visit Downdetector
Did Riot's official Server Status page not yield the results you wanted it? Well, it doesn't hurt to try another website such as Downdetector.
This website provides information and monitors server outages in real-time, giving a detailed timeline of any issues in the past day. If League of Legends is down, feel free to take a look at this website.
Go to Riot Games Support Twitter
If the previous two methods didn't work then it's time to bust out the good ol' social media, in this case, Twitter.
Riot Games' Support Twitter will most certainly report on any major issue when it comes to League's server status and more.
