How to Tag in WWE 2K23
In order to perform a tag in WWE 2K23, you'll need to first be part of a tag-team match.
For those who don't know, a tag team match is when two or more superstars team up against another group of Superstars.
In recent years, tag team wrestling in WWE games has been a little clunky, but we're pleased to say it feels far more refined in WWE 2K23.
There are three types of tag in WWE 2K23:
- Normal Tag
- Hot Tag
- Move Tag
Firstly, a normal tag can be made by approaching your team's corner and pressing LB on Xbox, or L1 on PlayStation. This will call in your teammate and they will then be the active participant in the ring.
A Hot Tag can be made when your selected superstar is struggling for stamina in the ring. By crawling to your corner, once again pressing LB/L1 will spring you to life, causing a hot tag in which your teammate can enter the ring with extra momentum.
Finally, a move tag can be triggered by placing your opponent in the corner with your teammate and pressing A on Xbox and X on PlayStation. This will trigger a tag team move in which your teammate will enter the ring and you will perform some sort of double-team takedown on your opponent.
Tag team wrestling can throw up some truly wonderful matches in WWE 2K23 and is a simple and easy way to try out many different move sets.
