Metal Shards are a valuable commodity in Horizon Forbidden West, as they were in the first game. Not only do you need them to buy new weapons and armor, but they're used in crafting things as simple as arrows. If you're anything like me, you'll get through loads of them. To get more, you'll want to sell things. But what should you sell in Horizon Forbidden West? We've got the answer for you.
What Should You Sell in Horizon Forbidden West?
There are some things you should 100% always sell in Guerilla's game. When speaking to merchants of any kind, you can head to the Resources section of your inventory, where you'll see Valuables to Sell at the top of the list.
Anything in that section is fair game to sell at any time, the items have no other use in game and will never be used in crafting recipes.
It's the kind of stuff you'll find in Valuables chests in Rebel bases and Cauldrons, and you don't need to worry about any of it.
Other Things to Sell
However, there are other things you can also sell without worrying. Any weapons, armor, and coils you aren't using or are underleveled for you now can be sold too.
Say you're using a Rare bow now, having played for a few hours, there's no need for you to keep the common one of the same type. You might as well sell it for a few extra Metal Shards. You won't get many for a lot of them, but every little helps.
Also, any weapons or coils that don't really fit your playstyle can be sold too. If you're someone who sticks to bows, there's no need for multiple tripcasters, no matter their rarity. You can sell those too.
At the end of the day, you can simply sell anything you're never going to use in Horizon Forbidden West.
