Horizon Forbidden West Jobs Guide: How to Set Up & Track

Upgrading your weapon, armor, and gear is vital to surviving the latter fights in Horizon Forbidden West. You'll need all kinds of resources to do so, however, some of which can be really hard to find. To make that collection process easier, you can set up jobs to go out and find specific things. If you'd like to do so, here's a guide on how to set up jobs in Horizon Forbidden West and how to track them.

How to Set Up Jobs in Horizon Forbidden West

First of all, you need to head to absolutley any workbech in Horizon Forbidden West's world. They'll be found at any settlement or shelters around the map.

Then, head into your invetory and select any weapon or gear item you'd like to upgrade. On the right of the screen, you'll see what items you need to have to make the upgrade. They'll usually be a mix of Metal Shards and machine parts. For the higher level upgrades, those machine parts will be especially rare.

If you don't have any of the neccessary costs, you can create a job by pressing triangle. Then, just press X to make it your active quest.

How to Track Jobs

If you've previously found a location of the stuff you need for the upgrade, Horizon Forbidden West will automatically set a waypoint for the right location, so you simply need to go or fast travel to it.

If you haven't found the items you need before - such as parts from Apex machines that can be very rare - you'll still need to find them yourself. If you're looking for Apex parts, you'll often be led to locations of standard versions of the machines.

When you have all the items you need, the job will be completed and removed from your quest list. You can then head back to a workbench to finalise the upgrade.
