Nonetheless, it's set up to provide a hardcore multiplayer experience full of backstabbing and front stabbing.

If you're looking to get an edge over the competition, you might want to start early. Luckily, you can.

How to Play Hood: Outlaws & Legends Early

Hood is set for release on May 10. If you get the game physically or buy it on the day, you'll be able to access it then.

Fortunately for those playing digitally, if you preorder the game, that means you can play it a whole three days early on May 7.

You will be put alongside other players who got it early, as well as members of the press and anyone who receives a promotional copy. The servers themselves don't open until that day, meaning everyone starts at the same time.

What We Know About Hood So Far

As our inquiring into crossplay and single player proves, there are plenty of unanswered questions floating around just days before release. Here's a quick rundown of what Hood is.

The dilapidated graveyard of Hood

Hood is a multiplayer action game where two teams of four battle it out against the environment to loot treasure. The winner can use that loot to further upgrade their characters or customize how they look. The losers just have to keep fighting.

The environment is much more dangerous than one might expect, with a boss that can kill you in one shot and lots of guards roaming the maps. If you want to win, you may just have to make a few compromises.
