PlayStation has announced that a new State of Play Showcase will be coming later this week, focused on Warner Bros' Hogwarts Legacy.
The stream will take place at 5pm ET/9pm GMT on Thursday March 17 and will last around 20 minutes.
Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay
More than 14 of those minutes will be spent on Hogwarts Legacy gameplay and will end with "some insight from a few members of the team at Avalanche Software who are bringing the Wizarding World to life."
Therefore, we don't expect any further announcements on other PlayStation games.
Hogwarts Legacy Release Date
Hogwarts Legacy is still due to release in 2022, but we may get a concrete release date during Thursday's stream.
Warner Bros had the following to say on the PlayStation Blog:
"Since we first revealed Hogwarts Legacy, the trailer has been viewed over 28 million times on the PlayStation YouTube channel. We promised to share more this year, and we’re finally ready to deliver on that promise.
Don’t forget to head back here to the PlayStation.Blog afterward for a special post that will add a little more context to what we’re about to show you.
This is an incredible moment that we’ve been building towards for a long time. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on."
We'll keep you updated during the stream with all the news. For many, however, the extended look at gameplay will be the most exciting thing.
After all, since the game's initial reveal, we haven't really seen anything from Hogwarts Legacy.
