Hitman 3 is now the most successful Hitman game ever released and there's so much more left from Agent 47 and the World of Assassination. IO Interactive has just announced that Hitman 3 Year 2 is on the way and we have the first details about what to expect below.
START DATE - Hitman 3 Year 2 kicks off soon
Hitman 3 Year 2 is due to start on January 20th, 2022 - this confirms that we're getting at least another 12 months of fresh content for Agent 47's latest outing.
This wasn't exactly a surprise though as IO Interactive confirmed that Hitman 3 was the biggest Hitman game to date - check out what they said below:
" The World of Assassination trilogy has reached the phenomenal milestone of 50 million players and HITMAN 3 is now the most successful Hitman game of all time."
Hitman 3 on PC is, perhaps, going to benefit most from Year 2, though - Ray-Tracing and VR support has been confirmed to arrive alongside the start of Hitman 3 Year 2 for the game on PC platforms.
In addition to this, Elusive Target Arcade is the first new expansion we've been told about by IO Interactive. Here's what that means below:
" A new way to play Elusive Targets arrives in HITMAN 3 in a brand new game mode that we’re calling Elusive Target Arcade. Prepare to take on the ultimate Elusive Target challenge in a change to the established formula in this fan-favourite game mode. All Elusive Target Arcade content will be a permanent addition to the game."
The next major update, following this, is due in "Spring 2022" and we're going to learn more about what's coming in the coming weeks. The future of Hitman is bright and we want to know where Agent 47 is headed next.
