World of Warcraft, like other MMOs, can take huge amounts of time and investment, sometimes leaving no room for other activities. Because of that, it's good to take a break once and a while, canceling the WoW subscription.

Maybe you don't have that kind of time anymore or want to try something else out. Whether you're planning to come back later or are looking at taking an indefinite break, canceling that subscription can be confusing.

Here's a step-by-step on how to cancel your WoW subscription.

How to cancel your WoW subscription

Canceling your WoW can be fairly easy, all you need to do is follow a few steps.

Here are the steps below:

1. First, sign into your account on the Battle.net App
2. From there, click on the Battle.net logo at the top left corner
3. Then, click on the drop-down and select Account
4. Clicking on the Account section will open up your Games & Subscriptions page
5. In Games & Subscriptions select Manage and choose the account you wish to cancel
6. Lastly, click on Cancel Subscription

Once you've canceled your WoW subscription, you will be allowed to play until your active game time runs out.

How to renew your WoW subscription

Now that you know how to cancel your WoW subscription, here's how to renew it.

Here are the steps below:

1. First, sign into your account on the Battle.net App
2. From there, click on the Battle.net logo at the top left corner
3. Then, click on the drop-down and select Account
4. Clicking on the Account section will open up your Games & Subscriptions page
5. In Games & Subscriptions select Manage and choose the account you wish play with
6. Click on Add Subscription
   1. You will have three options for a subscription
      1. 1 month - $14.99
      2. 3 months - $42.00 (billed every three months)
      3. 6 months - $78.00 (billed every six months)

It's worth noting that the 6-month offer also includes the Jade Bright Foreseer mount for WoW retail and the Hoplet pet for WoW Classic WotLK.
