Who is Zhongli?
Zhongli is the Geo Archon, the God of the Liyue Region. He battled during the Archon War. Zhongli is considered to be the oldest living being on Teyvat.

Best Attributes
- Generates a very resistant Shield that can withstand most enemy attacks.
- Large and Powerful Elemental Burst AoE DMG that Petrify enemies for some seconds.
- Shred the Defense of Enemies against all Elemental Reactions. (Only characters with this ability)
- Large and Powerful Elemental Burst AoE DMG.
- Destroy the shield with ease and drain Geo Energy from enemies.
Weakness
- Very low DMG with normal attacks.
- Low generation of Energy Particles.

Staff of Homa
- The Staff of Homa is always a good choice for Polearm users due to the high attack base and the Crit. DMG sub-stat.
- In the case of Zhongli, the extra HP from the Staff of Homa will make his shield sturdier.
- Other 5-star weapons like Skyward Spine and Jade Primordial Spear are good if Zhongli is used as Sub-DPS.
Favonius Lance
- The best F2P option is the Favonius Lance, the Weapon that will improve Zhongli's low generation of particles.
- Particularly good if you are using Zhongli as Support that can spam his Elemental Burst.

Zhongli's shield is stronger the higher his HP is. However, it is unnecessary to focus only on Artifacts with extra HP.
The ideal Artifact Build will balance HP, Energy Recharge, Crit. Rate, and Crit. DMG
Depending on which Weapon you are using, you can focus more on the stats that are not provided for the Polearm of your preference.
- Noblesse Oblige
- The set Noblesse Oblige will increase the damage of Zhongli Elemental Burst. But it is not easy to find good artifacts, and it is in high demand.
- Tenacity of the Millelith
- The set Tenacity of the Millelith will provide extra HP making Zhongli's shield stronger.
- Archaic Petra
- Two pieces of this set are a great compliment, offering extra Geo DMG.

Zhongli is different. He is probably the best companion for most characters, a great Plug & Play that can play support in many teams.
Hu Tao Melts
Teams based in Hu Tao melting the Hydro infusion of Xinqiu skills. As Hu Tao requires low HP to make more DMG, Zhongli Shield comes to the rescue.
Main DPS
- Hu Tao is the start of this team. However, Diluc and Klee create strong variations of this team. But currently, Hu Tao is the best DPS for Melt teams.
Sub-DPS
- Xingqiu's Elemental Burst activates Rain Swords providing constant outfield melt reactions.
- Yelan is a great substitute, but without Xingqiu's defensive skills is a riskier playstyle.
Supports
- Albedo & Zhongli are the support characters for this team, making sure Hu Tao survives.
- New variations are exchanging Albedo and adding Yelan + Xingqiu for double Hydro Application.
Mono Geo
The team that started the Mono Elemental trend in Genshin Impact. Mono Geo, as the name tells. It is a team in which four characters are from the same element, Geo.
We couldn't have a Geo team without the Zhongli, the archon of the elements.
Main DPS
- Arataki Itto is the best DPS for the Geo element; a Free to Play version of this team includes Noelle in the place of Arataki.
Sub-DPS
- Zhongli in Mono teams is the DPS. Players can add offensive stats to his artifacts and give him a more potent weapon.
Elemental Enablers
- While some teams have two supports, we have two Elemental Enablers in Mono Geo.
- Gorou is indispensable to elevating the team's damage capabilities.
- Albedo, Yun Jin, or Ningguang can occupy the four spots in this team with slightly different ways to rotate characters in the team.
