Genshin Impact 2.7's second phase is now live. The last half of the current update features two members of the Arataki Gang - Kuki Shinobu, and Arataki Itto.
While Itto is in his first rerun, this is the debut of Kuki Shinobu, and the first electro healer has a very interesting Ninja character design.
Here's our Kuki Shinobu build guide for Genshin Impact 2.7, including her best weapons, artifacts, and team compositions.
Who is Kuki Shinobu?
Kuki Shinobu is a resourceful young woman that left her formation as a Shrine Maiden to become the deputy of the Arataki Gang. Kuki recently also become a lawyer at Liyue University.
In-game, Kuki Shinobu seems a character we will see her full potential with the arrival of Dendro element characters.
At the moment, however, her kit is somewhat confusing and shoehorned into playing the Support role.
Strengths
- Decent healing, the first Electro character with this ability.
- Consistent Electro Application that can be spammed due to her extensive Elemental Skill.
- Kuki can buff an entire team's DMG by using weapons, and artifacts that take advantage of her Elemental Skill which is constantly in the field.
Weaknesses
- Very low DMG output in every possible build.
- Kuki loses HP every time she uses her Elemental Skill, making her easy prey for Burst Enemy DMG.
- Kuki is currently only good as a support character, with very underwhelming damage.
Best Weapons
These weapons will enhance Kuki Support abilities in Genshin Impact.
Rarity | Name | Stat | Ability |
---|---|---|---|
5-Star | Freedom Sworn | Elemental Mastery | Increases DMG by 20%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" increases Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 32% and increases ATK by 40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s. |
4-Star | Favonius Warbow | Energy Recharge | CRIT hits have a 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 6s. |
Freedom Sworn
- The weapon will increase, the DMG of the Elemental Reactions caused by Kuki's Elemental Skill.
- Using Freedom Sworn will reduce the healing of Kuki Shinobu, therefore a Healing Bonus Circlet is recommended it.
Favonius Warbow
- Perhaps the best weapon for Kuki Shinobu is the F2P Favonius Warbow. The weapon will produce Energy Particles for the characters in her team with high Energy Costs.
- Travelers using the Favonius Warbow will need to look for a Crit. Rate Circlet as the energy particles are generated by every critical hit.

Best Artifacts
Build | Set 1 | Set 2 | Stats Needed |
---|---|---|---|
Best in Slot | Tenacity of the Millelith | Tenacity of the Millelith | Sands: HP% - Goblet: HP% - Circlet: Crit. Rate |
Substitute | Noblesse Oblige | Noblesse Oblige | Sands: HP% - Goblet: HP% - EM Circlet: Healing Bonus |
There are two ways to Build Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact 2.7. One focuses on increasing Kuki's HP, and the other focuses on providing Elemental Mastery.
Tenacity of Millelith Build
Kuki Shinobu HP build is the easiest to utilize. The set Tenacity of Millelith passive will increase her HP and provide a consistent ATK boost to her Teammates.
With more HP, Kuki's healing will increase, but we let you know now. Kuki's DMG output is very low even with optimal weapons and artifacts.
Noblesse Oblige Build
Another way to build Kuki is using Elemental Mastery to increase the DMG caused by the Elemental Reactions. The Noblesse Oblige is a good alternative but will reduce her healing abilities.
Best Team Compositions
Role | Character | Element |
---|---|---|
Main DPS | Yelan | Hydro |
Sub DPS | Fishcl | Electro |
Elemental Reaction | Kuki Shinobu | Electro |
Support | Sucrose | Anemo |
Kuki Shinobu is a good character that consolidates three roles, healing, Electro application, and artifact set buffing.
Therefore, Kuki will increase the viability of Genshin Impact teams that were missing one of these features.
Electro Teaser
This team is a very F2P composition that is flexible about its team members. The squad mentioned here is the most popular, but not the only option.
Main DPS
- Yelan will provide DMG during the cooldown of other characters, but also continue applying hydro DMG when she is out of the field.
Sub-DPS
- Fischl Electro Application is one of the best in the game, she can reposition her Elemental Skill in case the enemies suddenly move.
- Alternatives: Beidou, Yae Miko, Raiden Shogun
Elemental Enabler
- Kuki Shinobu will become a very important character in this team, by becoming an Electro battery and providing the healing that this element has lacked.
- Once you find a sweet spot with Kuki's Healing, we recommend investing in adding some Elemental Mastery in the mix.
Support
- Anemo Swirl reactions work very well with Electro-Charged, so the ideal supports for this team are Anemo Characters.
- Sucrose and Venti work very well, pulling enemies together, though the synergy with Kazuha is a bit tricky in the beginning.
Eula Teams
Eula teams require an Electro Character for overcharged reactions, some that increase their survivability, and add Energy generation. Thankfully Kuki can provide all of the above.
DPS: Eula
SUB-DPS: Rosaria
Elemental Enabler: Kuki Shinobu
Support: Zhongli, Raiden Shogun, Yunjin
Shinobu's Talent Priorities
Shinobu kit is focused on building her as a support/healer. This is because even with Kuki's BIS weapon and great artifacts, her damage will be still pretty low.
Therefore, we recommend prioritizing talents that make Kuki a viable companion, with efficient Electro Application and HP recovery.
With that, focus on leveling up her Elemental abilities first.
- First Talent Priority – Elemental Skill
- The best skill for Kuki, her elemental skill boasts a short cooldown, decent heals, and generates an elemental reaction.
- Second Talent Priority – Elemental Burst
- Despite having a wide range AoE, Kuki is not dependent on her ultimate. With that, we recommend increasing it beyond level 6 only if you have extra resources.
- Third Talent Priority – Normal/Charged/Plunged Attacks
- Kuki's normal attack animation is great, but sadly, the damage is almost useless. There is no need to spend to level up this talent.
