Genshin Impact 2.5 Server Maintenance: Downtime Schedule & Release Time

A new patch packed with a ton of new content is on the way for Genshin Impact players. The release of Genshin Impact ver. 2.5 is just hours away!

But before players can see all of the new additions, Genshin Impact will go down as servers undergo maintenance downtime until the update is live.

Here is everything players need to know about the Genshin Impact 2.5 maintenance schedule including server status, free Primogem rewards, and all of the latest news approaching launch.

Is Genshin Impact down?

Genshin Impact servers will soon go down for a period of time for maintenance ahead of the launch of Genshin Impact 2.5.

Genshin Impact 2.5 Server Maintenance Schedule

Genshin Impact servers will go under maintenance on February 16, 2022 at 6:00 am at server time (Chinese Standard Time).

In other time zones Genshin Impact servers will go down at:

  • February 15, 2022, 2:00 pm PST
  • February 15, 2022, 5:00 pm EST
  • February 15, 2022, 10:00 pm GMT

Servers will be down for around 5 hours, and players will receive compensatory Primogems for the time they are not able to play the game.

Free Primogems for Genshin Impact Server Maintenance

Travelers will receive 60 Primogems for each hour the servers are not available. However, if the game is back online before the 5 hours scheduled. Players will still obtain a minimum of 300 Primogems.

Additionally, miHoYo gives 300 Primogems compensation for all the bug fixes found in the previous update. So, travelers just for log-in the game after the maintenance is over will receive 600 Primogems almost 4 wishes.

Free Primogems will be delivered to each player in-game email. If the maintenance takes more than 5 hours, extra 60 Primogems for each hour of delay will be added.

Genshin Impact 2.5 Preload Available Now

Genshin Impact players can start preloading the next update. The ver. 2.5 file size is around 3.05 Gb for Android and IOS and around 6.0Gb for PC players.

PC users can continue playing while they are downloading files. Unfortunately, there is no preload option for Playstation Players.

Genshin Impact 2.5 Banners

The first banner, Everbloom Violet, will feature Yae Miko - 5-star Electro, Catalyst character.

The following 4-stars characters complete this first banner:

  • Thoma - 4-star Pyro, Polearm User
  • Dionna - 4-star Cryo, Bow User
  • Fischl - 4-star Electro, Bow User.

The first weapon banner will feature:

  • Kagura's Verity 5-star Catalyst, the signature weapon of Yae Miko.
  • Primordial Jade Cutter 5-star Sword is one of the game's best swords.

The following 4-stars weapons complete the banner:

  • Wavebreaker Fin - Polearm
  • Sacrificial Sword - Sword
  • Rainslasher - Claymore
  • Eye of Perception - Catalyst
  • The Stringless - Bow

Genshin Impact 2.5 Events

Genshin Impact 2.5 will be a very important update for the story arc that will go back to Inazuma for a new chapter of the Electron Archon Tale.

While we finish unveiling the secrets of Enkanomiya, the border between realms (Human, Vishap, and Abyss), during Three Realm Gateway, the main event in ver. 2.5

But not everything is exploration and story. Genshin Impact 2.5 will offer chances to prove our fighting skills, lay back a bit, and play in new exciting events with our friends.
