The Genshin Impact 4.3 update has finally arrived! Along with the prestigious Fontinalia Film Festival, the much-anticipated Version 4.3 update promises the banner debut of a beloved character and the introduction of a talented Inazuman fashion designer now residing in Fontaine.

While the gripping Fontaine Archon Quest storyline has wrapped up, the 4.3 update is unlikely to just be a "filler patch" as there are still plenty of exciting quests and events to look forward to!

Genshin Impact 4.3 release date

Even though HoYoverse has yet to reveal the official release date for Version 4.3, we can make an educated guess based on the current patch schedule.

We anticipate Genshin Impact 4.3 will start on 20 December 2023. This is thanks to the regular six-week update schedule of the game.

There will be a maintenance period prior to the new update, with Version 4.3 becoming available around 3:00am GMT. Please note that due to timezone differences, players in the United States will receive the update on 19 December, at 11:00pm EDT.

Genshin Impact 4.3 banners revealed

Genshin Impact players will finally have the opportunity to welcome the elegant and strong-willed president of the Spina di Rosula, Navia, to their roster in the 4.3 update!

Phase 1 of Version 4.3 will feature Navia alongside a rerun banner for Ayaka, the refined daughter of the Yashiro Commission's Kamisato Clan.

Genshin players can't wait to pull for Navia, not only because of her gorgeous character design and her heroic involvement in the Fontaine Archon Quest, but also because she will be the first Geo character to appear in the game in more than 500 days!

Further down the line, in Phase 2 of Version 4.3, players will get the chance to pull for Raiden Shogun, the formidable vessel of the Electro Archon, and Yoimiya, the jovial "Queen of the Summer Festival"!

Another Fontainian, known as Chevreuse, will be introduced as a 4-star unit in Phase 2 of Version 4.3. Among the 18 Fontaine characters slated for release, Chevreuse has yet to make an appearance in the game. She is expected to play a big role in the Version 4.3 main event!

Genshin Impact 4.3 new weapon

Version 4.3 will introduce a brand-new 5-star Claymore called Verdict. This Claymore serves as Navia's signature weapon.

The flagship event of Genshin Impact Version 4.3 is called "Roses and Muskets"!

In Version 4.3, Travellers will get the chance to immerse themselves in the prestigious Fontinalia Film Festival. This festival was established to commemorate the Lochknights who searched for the Oceanids and eventually welcomed the Hydro Archon Egeria to Fontaine. This festival is one of the most important events in Fontaine, like what the Windblume Festival is to Mondstatd and the Lantern Rite to Liyue.

There will be four activity booth challenges that players can enjoy:

1. Thousand-Pace Interdiction Arcminute Sharpshooting Zone

The first booth presents the opportunity for Travellers to experience the thrill of target practice, courtesy of Fontaine’s security force Special Patrol unit. Travellers will use the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol simulation device to practice targeting and shooting a variety of enemies.

2. Trick Shots, Tricky Lights

Step into the spotlight for a combat challenge where Travellers utilises the studio's special lighting effects to film a fight scene. Players are encouraged to take advantage of the buffs brought about by the special lighting effects to defeat an endless stream of opponents and obtain a higher score.

3. Xtreme Drive

At the third booth, join forces with a contract employee to appease her demanding client! Your task: Navigate through the obstacle course, chasing and herding "Stabilisation Mekaballs" into designated target zones. These Mekaballs are more agile than they appear, automatically manoeuvring away from participants by moving in the opposite direction of their movement. Use the jump boosters to gain the upper hand!

4. Into the Frame

Unleash your creativity and embark on a foray into filmmaking. Experiment with various camera angles, narration techniques, and visual storytelling elements to craft engaging scenes. Brace yourself for constructive feedback, as players will receive a level of reception upon submitting their creations!

Along with all the exciting new quests, character banners, and flagship event minigames coming with the 4.3 update, there will be two other events for players to enjoy and collect valuable rewards from in Version 4.3!

Join Itto and Grand Master Hanakado in the “Arataki Blazing Armor Beetle Battle Boot Camp” held in Liyue! Return to Liyue to face off against a mysterious new Beetle Battle master, and discover new strategies for battle. While movement and charge mechanics remain unchanged, players can now command onikabuto to use "guard," providing defense against Electro bullets and Jetstream attacks.

2. Lost Riches

Ulman arrives in Fontaine, bringing his treasure map and treasure-seeking Seelie along! Help restore the Seelie's vitality by absorbing energy from the locations that are marked on Ulman's treasure map. In return, the Seelie will guide players to the locations of buried treasure. By collecting Ancient Iron Coins, players can exchange them for rewards, including mini Seelies in their preferred colours.

3. Dance of Resolute Will

This combat challenge features two rounds per stage. One of your chosen characters must be used in both rounds but no other character can be repeated. Upon completing a Blaze Dance objective during the challenge, you will receive a Heightned Verve buff. Defeating opponents while Heightned Verve is active will grant you bonus points.

Serenitea Pot: new Fontaine-style realm layout

A new Fontaine-style realm layout, "Swirling Scene in a Bottle", will be added to the Serenitea Pot! Simply purchase it from Tubby to unlock it. This will be an unwater realm with several islands that Travellers can travel to using Ocean Currents. Some islands even have ponds that Travellers can use to keep fish.
