Hoyoverse posted their official drip marketing on Twitter for the new characters of Genshin Impact 3.2, Nahida & Layla.
The upcoming update will see the introduction of two young girls to the roster of Sumeru Characters. They are relatively young cause Nahida the Dendro Archon is at least 500 years old. However, she is just a small child.
Along with the God of Wisdom, Layla will make her debut. She is a Rtawahist student specializing in stars like Mona and Lisa.
The official announcement confirms some rumours that were circulating in the previous days. Here is everything we know about the release of Layla and Nahida.
Nahida & Layla Release Date
Genshin Impact 3.2 will run from November 2, 2022, until December 7, 2022.
According to recent leaks, Nahida and Layla would share the same banner in the First Phase of version 3.2. But, it is too soon to confirm this version. It is also mentioned that Childe and Yae Miko will be the two rerun banners in the patch.
What do we know about Nahida in Genshin Impact?
Nahida was introduced to the story during the events of the Golden Apple Archipelago. But it was not until the Archon Quest of Genshin Impact 3.0 that she was formally introduced.
The human vessel of the Dendro Archon, Nahida, is the youngest of the Seven Archons. She is no longer in control of Sumeru as the Akademiya usurp the power.
As a playable character, Nahida is a 5-star Dendro Catalyst user with outstanding Support Capabilities.

- Nahida's Elemental Skill snapshots enemies' weaknesses, buffing her teammate's damage, similar to the snaps in Fay Trials
- Her Elemental Burst is a flower similar to the Dendro Traveler, but with seamless Dendro Application and will follow the character movement.
What do we know about Layla in Genshin Impact?
Layla is a student of the Rtawahist Darshan, the branch of the Akademiya that studies the stars, including disciplines like Astronomy and Astrology.
She has a sleeping disorder caused by her constant thinking about her studies. The lack of sleep will be reflected in Layla' Abilities.
These are some details about Layla based on leaks from Ubatcha:
- Layla is similar to Ayaka. They are both Cryo characters that use Swords and have almost the same age.
- Her Elemental Skill is similar to Diona's, but Layla deals damage with Cryo Stars.
- Layla's Elemental Burst will send an object to the field that will inflict AoE Cryo DMG and Cryo Application.
