Since the first time we met Scaramouche in Genshin Impact 1.1, he has become a fan favorite, even when, and at least for now, he remains just an NPC.
Scaramouche, the Sixth of the Fatui Harbingers, also known as the Balladeer, will soon repeatedly return to the storyline, managing to get dangerously close to the traveler every time.
We don't know Scaramouche's intentions, but it is possible we will find out more about it soon, as the latest leaks point to Scaramouche returning as the new Weekly Boss.
Who is Scaramouche in Genshin Impact?
Scaramouche was originally created by Ei the Electro Archon while she was testing the art of making the Puppet known as the Raiden Shogun.
He was not expected to be an exact copy of the Archon, but just a prototype. The puppets were intended to be vessels for the Electro Gnosis.
But Scaramouche was too Gentle in the eyes of Ei, who decided to don't kill him, but sealed his powers and let him take control of his life.

Where is Scaramouche now?
At this point of the story, we know that Scaramouche went rogue and is no longer responding to the Fatui. He is now carrying the Electro Gnosis with Yae for the life of the Traveler.
According to the latest leaks, Scaramouche is about to appear in the Archon Story and the Traveler will finally confront him. With that, the Balladeer is becoming the new Trounce Domain.
Scaramouche is expected to become a playable character in Genshin Impact 3.3 along with the return of the Raiden Shogun. Version 3.3 is the last patch of 2022, and should go live on December 7, 2022 if the schedule for this year remains intact.
