The Genshin Impact 2.7 Special Program was just around the corner prior to a recent delay, but there is still room for surprises. The most recent is a possible Xiao rerun in an upcoming Genshin Impact 2.7 banner, the only Survivor from Liyue's Yakshas.
Hoyoverse is well known for releasing characters that are related to the story around their relevant updates, and Xiao will have a big role in the upcoming main event Perilous Trail.
For Genshin Impact 2.7 the story will focus on The Chasm and the search for the truth behind the electro Yaksha Bosacius' last days. Xiao, the only natural DPS from the Anemo element, slots in perfectly as an interesting addition to the upcoming update.
Here's what we learned from the latest Genshin Impact 2.7 banner leaks.
Release Date
If everything goes according to plan, the rerun of Xiao and the debut of Yelan will take place in the first Genshin Impact 2.7 banner on May 11, 2022.
There is still certain uncertainty about a possible delay due to a shortage of staff in Hoyoverse but there is no official information to sustain this rumor just yet.
Xiao is back...again?
The return of Xiao in Genshin Impact 2.7 is surprising considering he was featured back in January during version 2.4.
Childe Tartaglia, often referred to as the Banner Archon, is the only other character appearing this often in banners.
Those who missed out on Xiao previously however will be elated to see they'll have another chance so soon.
Kazuha MIA in Genshin Impact 2.7 Banners
If Xiao does indeed come back in Genshin Impact 2.7, it seems we have the complete roster of the upcoming character banners.
Yelan and Xiao will share the first half of the update, and the Arataki Gang will be reunited in the second half character banner featuring Itto and Kuki Shinobu.
This is bad news for travellers looking to pick up Kazuha, as it looks like we will have to wait for one more update to see the return of the wandering samurai of Inazuma.
