We are just some hours away from the launch of Genshin Impact 2.5, the newest update in the adventures of the Traveler and Paimon!
After the great Lantern Rite in Liyue, it is time for the Electro Nation to rise. The action will return to Inazuma, with Yae Miko and Baal starring in interconnected stories that will close the Electro Archon arc.
In other news, Yae Miko is the next new 5-star Catalyst Electro character, and that's not all the Genshin Impact 2.5 banners have in store.
To get ahead of the game and be ready for launch time, players can now preload Genshin Impact 2.5 as well. With that in mind, here's how to download Genshin Impact 2.5 before its release to get right into the game come launch time, and the file size requirements you'll need to be able to fit it.
Genshin Impact 2.5 Preload
The Genshin Impact 2.5 preload is live now, and will be available until tomorrow before the maintenance start.
This gives players a bit more than a day to download the massive update ahead of time to get in right from launch.

Genshin Impact 2.5 File Size
Genshin Impact 2.5's file size will be around 6 GB for PC players.
In the case of mobile players, the IOS file size will be around 3.08 GB, and 3.04 GB for Android.
How to Preload Genshin Impact 2.5
PC
On PC, you have to boot up the game launcher and click on the "Game Pre-Installation" option on the screen.
After this, the game update should automatically install. Travelers can still play while preloading game resources.
Preloading will take up a certain amount of your network's bandwidth, so it's best to make sure you have a good network connection.
Mobile
Mobile players need to log into your account and go to the "Paimon Menu." Go to settings, then click "Pre-Install Resource Package."
If this doesn't work, you may spot the package on the main menu after you've logged in. Just click on it to get everything installed.
Travelers in Mobile cannot play the game while they are downloading resources, so it's best to start the process when you're taking a break or overnight.
PlayStation
Unfortunately for Playstation travelers, there is no option to preload the game yet. We'll update if that changes ahead of launch day.
The Playstation Console downloads the game entirely again, to make sure there are no corrupt files. To play Genshin Impact 2.5 Playstation players need to download around 35 GB.
Genshin Impact 2.5 Release Date
Genshin Impact 2.5 will go live on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 11:00 am Server Time.

- February 16, 3:00 a.m. GMT
The server's maintenance takes around five hours, with players being compensated 300 Primogems for the downtime.
