Genshin Impact 2.4 is just around the corner, and that means there are more Primogems to earn through events and daily rewards.
After the tremendous miHoYo Livestream, most players are wondering if so many great banners in one patch are not a curse in disguise.
For those players calculating how many Primogems will have available in Genshin Impact 2.4 to pull for Ganyu, Zhong-Li, Xiao, or/and Shenhe, we've done the math below!
Important Dates
Genshin Impact 2.4 arrives on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Server Time.
- January 4, 7:00 p.m. PDT
- January 4, 10:00 p.m. EST
- January 4, 3:00 a.m. GMT
The servers will go under maintenance for around 5 hours. Players will receive compensation for Primogems for this time.
Xiao, Shenhe, and Yun Jin banners will also launch on January 5, 2022. Ganyu and Zhong-Li re-runs will arrive later on January 26, 2022.

We are going to calculate how much Primogems players can earn during the entire Genshin Impact 2.4, so they can have a general idea of how many wishes they have for pulling in upcoming banners. a
Daily Commissions
If you think completing commissions every day is a repetitive task, well, you might think twice about skipping this part of the game as this is the primary source of F2P Primogems.
F2P
- Every patch runs for 42 days, and players can receive 60 Primogems for commissions per day.
- If you get your commisions each day, that amounts to 2520 Primogems.
P2P
- Blessing of the Welkin Moon is one of the best investments in terms of Primogems, providing 90 Primogems over 30 days for $5
- 90 Primogems for all 42 days = 3780
Paimon's Bargain Shop
Stardust Exchange is a section of the Paimon Shop that refreshes every month, offering Material, 4-star characters, 5 intertwined Fates, and 5 Acquainted fates.
- Stardust is a currency given by wishing in the Standard Banner. We recommend spending them exclusively on fates.
- One Intertwined fate is equal to 160 Primogems. The store refreshes two times in a Patch.
- 5 Intertwined Fates = 800 Primogems - 1600 Primogems for 2 months.
- This adds up to 3200 Primogems if you count the Acquaint fates.
New Events
Genshin Impact 2.4 will introduce 4 new events, Lantern Rite, A study in Potions, Windtrace, Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas, besides 2 recent hangouts events.
- Each event gives an average of 420 Primogems. However, the Lantern Rite is the most generous of all Genshin Impact events.
- 4 events for 420 Primogems = 1680 Primogems (minimum)
- 10 Free Intertwined fates = 1600 Primogems
- 2 new hangouts events = 120 Primogems

New Update Giveaways and Compensation
Every new update includes a Livestream where miHoYo announced all-new content. Besides, servers go for maintenance at least 5 hours before launching a new patch.
- The Livestream gives three promo codes with 100 Primogems each = 300 Primogems.
- 60 Primogems for each hour of maintenance = 300 Primogems
- Compensation for bug fixes during the previous patch = 300 Primogems.
New Map exploration and New Achievements
These Primogems are probably the hardest to get. The new area will provide more chests, quests, waypoints, and domains.
The last region in Inazuma Tsurumi Island provides 300 Primogems in exploration and 300 Primogems in achievements.
We can speculate around 600 Primogems in World Exploration for the new region Enkanomiya.

The Spiral Abyss
In the case of the Spiral Abyss, the last 4 floors (9-12) provide 150 Primogems for full clearance, and they refresh three times in each patch.
This is end-game content. Most people who can clear the 12th with ease are usually people who invest money in their accounts.
However, very focused accounts and veterans have shown capable of obtaining max rewards.
There are 1800 Primogems for clearing the Spiral Abyss three times.
