What Are We Expecting?

There have been a few leaks leading up to Genshin Impact 2.1, and fans are hoping these will pan out.

Inazuma Is Expanding

Two more of Inazuma's islands look to be on the way.

Watatsumi Island and Seirai Island should be west and south of the currently available islands released in Genshin Impact 2.0.

Baal Banner, and More

The Raiden Shogun, Baal, the Electro Archon, is expected to headline the second Character Event Banner of Genshin Impact 2.1.

Kokomi should be headling the first, and Kujou Sara will be a 4-Star on one of the two banners.

Aloy from Horizon: Forbidden West will also be freely available for players who log into the game using a PS4/PS5, and will be available for everyone else in Genshin Impact 2.2.

La Signora, Other Bosses

La Signora is rumored to be a new weekly boss, and a Hydro Hypostasis is on the way.

There should also be a new Electro boss, one that drops Ascension Materials for several of the new characters releasing.

Genshin Fans, get ready to fish!

Fishing is expected to release with Genshin Impact 2.1, with over 20 fish initially available to catch.

Be prepared for a new FISH LORD Claymore, as well.

Genshin On Nintendo Switch?

At the moment, we still don't know when Genshin Impact is coming to Nintendo Switch.

It was originally announced for September 2020 but has been indefinitely delayed with no new release date offered.

Many seem to think that this is due to miHoYo needing more power for Genshin Impact and reflects the developer holding out for a "Nintendo Switch Pro".

Nintendo, though, has just announced the Nintendo Switch (OLED model), and it doesn't look like a "Switch Pro" is coming anytime soon.

We could see an update on Genshin Impact on Nintendo Switch in the next few days, but it is unlikely.

Genshin Impact's Next Update Is Due Soon

The next Genshin Impact update, which will be revealed in the stream we're having a countdown for, is due sooner than you might think.

Genshin Impact 2.1 is expected to be released on September 1, 2021.
