UPDATE - Servers are live and Patch Notes are out
The Fortnite servers are back online and the Patch Notes are available following this mornings downtime. You can check out all the headline changes to Battle Royale, Creative and Save the World in the tweet below.
Downtime starts as expected...
Thankfully, there hasn't been any issues yet and Fortnite's servers are offline in preparation for the 17.40 update.
Basically, you won't be able to play Fortnite this morning. Downtime usually lasts around two hours, though, so you won't have to wait all that long. These things tend to be extended though, but we'll keep you updated as and when they're back.
Is Among Us coming to Fortnite?
The big question everyone is asking regarding Fortnite Update 17.40 is whether or not we are getting an Among Us crossover.
The more info that is revealed, the more complicated the stories seem to become. Despite all signs pointing towards the suspicious file names that were decrypted being for the IO Mole storyline, many are holding on hope that they are related to the hugely popular indie game instead.
While it would be cool to see the crossover happen, we have to think that the IO Mole story seems much more likely, especially given that an entire week of quests was dedicated to it a few weeks back.
Further confirmation was provided when the official Among Us Twitter account attempted to debunk the rumours but given how social media operates in 2021, some believed it to be an attempt at a further deception.
