In easily the strangest bit of Fortnite news this week, popular leaker @HYPEX has dropped a surprising set of info on players following the Rift Tour.
The data miner demanded 10,000 likes on a tweet to release what they referred to as a leak everyone had missed. Many believed it was something during the Rift Tour that was missed but instead, we got something very different.
Fortnite X Among Us collaboration coming?
Yes, you're reading that right, a Fortnite collaboration with Among Us might be the next big crossover event. We've had The Suicide Squad and Street Fighter announced in the last few weeks and it's unsure how far off this one is if it is true.
We're keen to see how exactly Fortnite crossover with Among Us would work especially given that many collaborations are built around the release of a skin. It could be that this one is built around sprays and emotes instead because the thought of an Among Us Fortnite skin is honestly terrifying.
Mistaken Identity?
While it's fun to get carried away and assume that this Among Us collaboration is nailed on, even @HYPEX has pointed out that some of what has been revealed applies to Season 7 in general.
The link between the "Mole" and Imposter is also very tenuous as Mole is the term used in recent weeks for the spy within the IO that Slone is trying to oust. While many of the location terms are hard to dispute, the Mole really just appears to be a case of mistaken identity for now.
As amazing as the Street Fighter and Suicide Squad crossovers have been, the possibility of Fortnite X Among Us has piqued our interest and we're unsure if we're super hyped or just not sold on the idea.
