FM22 is less than a month away, with brand new features being revealed ahead of the official release date on November 9.
Recently, SI head Miles Jacobson took to social media to announce some smaller features to the game, with mental health being one of the most notable inclusions.
Mental Health in FM22
The important discussions surrounding mental health in modern day society are now being reflected in Football Manager.
With players far from exempt from the mental strains and difficulties of life, FM22 will now include a more in-depth look at player morale.
Morale has always been an important element in Football Manager, but the implementation of this new feature in FM22 provides an extra layer of authenticity.
Now giving managers the ability to view a player's thoughts on multiple facets from training to treatment, FM22 places an important emphasis on maintaining positive mental health throughout your club.
This brand new feature has already received high praise from the FM community, with many players supporting the movement to create a positive and open discourse surrounding mental health in all walks of life.
Team Talks
Jacobson also revealed some other elements coming to the game.
Have you ever accidentally skipped a team talk when you wanted to tell your team how bad their performance was? Well, that won't happen again in FM22.
Leaving the game without giving a post-match team talk will result in you receiving a warning, but thankfully you can also hand it over to your assistant, allowing them to do the shouting instead.
Over 4,000 New Strings
FM22 will benefit from a ton of new interaction strings that will keep communication feeling fresh and authentic.
From team talks to team meetings, you'll never have to put up with the same arduous lines of questioning again.
Post-Match Chats
In the past you could only call a team meeting during extenuating circumstances, FM22 will now allow you to speak to your players regularly after a match.
Whether it's critiquing performance or telling your player what you expect from them in training, FM22 will take the immersion up a gear by allowing you to keep in constant communication with your players - whether you want to or not.
