FIFA announces first non-EA games will be World Cup blockchain titles

FIFA has unveiled a press release that has sent shockwaves through the community.

The news comes following EA’s announcement that the publisher will no longer be publishing FIFA titles and instead will be rebranding the series to EA Sports FC.

The press release, titled “FIFA unveils range of new web 3.0 games ahead of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022″ essentially says that four games are currently being developed in order to coincide with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

The Press release stated the following regarding AI League: FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Edition:

The game is a “4-on-4 casual football game, played between AI-controlled characters, with player input at fun and tactical moments”,

FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in the Upland Metaverse

Upland Metaverse will be “the largest blockchain-based metaverse mapped to the real world”, according to the press release.

In Upland Metaverse, “players can buy and sell virtual properties. Now they can collect official FIFA World Cup digital assets, including legendary video highlights of the tournament”.
