The release of FIFA 24 is just around the corner, with a new era beginning in sports gaming.
With EA and FIFA parting ways, the game as we know it will now be named EA Sports FC.
However, we're still expecting exciting new features to arrive in the game, and we've got the latest on all the confirmed additions.
FIFA 24 New Features
FIFA 24 promises to usher in a new era for sports gaming, and EA will be looking to make a strong impression with this first solo venture.
From Ultimate Team to VOLTA fans, every side of the community is clamouring for more attention, meaning it will be a challenge for EA to please everyone.
Here's what's been confirmed so far:
Online Career Mode
Right now, the only confirmed new feature leaked/confirmed for FIFA 24 is the arrival of online career mode.
The FIFA community has been calling for an online Career Mode for many years, and many thought their wishes had been answered when a job listing surfaced in the lead-up to FIFA 22 for an 'Online Software Engineer' working on 'online career mode'.
The community was teased yet again at a behind-closed-doors press event when the FIFA 23 Gameplay Producer Sam Rivera said that an online Career Mode for EA SPORTS FC was "definitely being considered”.
However, it seems the community's prayers have finally been answered, with an online Career Mode confirmed for the first-ever EA Sports FC title, according to @UTSources on Twitter.
All The Classics
Of course, all the classic look set to return in FIFA 24, with the slightly rebranded 'EA Ultimate Team' set for its first venture away from the FIFA name.
Here are the modes we're expecting to see return:
- Ultimate Team
- Career Mode
- Pro Clubs
- Online Seasons
- Kick-Off
Right now, the future of modes like VOLTA look to be up in the air, with the FIFA Street style feature not making a particularly large impression on players.
EA could look to strip it back and implement some new features in the mode, but right now we're treating its inclusion in FIFA 24 as dubious at best.
