Latest - EA Servers DOWN
Unfortunately, the EA Servers are down once again on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
This means that you cannot currently access FIFA 23 online game modes from the consoles listed above.
The EA support team has provided no information as of yet as to why the servers are down or how long they will be down.
There was no scheduled maintenance period outlined by EA, so we think this must be a server issue and will be resolved within the next several hours.

FIFA 23 Servers
EA uses several servers all over the world, but the FIFA community knows all too well that they are fickle at the best of times! Whether there are issues with the servers or there is planned maintenance, not being able to access your preferred online mode can be infuriating.
In Ultimate Team, periods of high interest such as the release of Team of the Year or Team of the Season can overload the servers. This causes a crash, meaning you may not be able to access the game.
This can also have an impact on the support apps for FUT, preventing players from accessing their Ultimate Team account from the FUT Web App or Mobile Companion App.

FIFA Scheduled Maintenance
EA periodically takes the servers down and runs scheduled maintenance on the servers that host FIFA 23. This is announced on Twitter by @EAFIFADirect a few hours before the maintenance period, usually in the early hours of the morning!
The most recent scheduled maintenance period went live on Wednesday, 19 April. The announcement was made at 5am BST, confirming a 5-hour maintenance period between 7am BST and 12pm.
When they are planned, it is scheduled maintenance. However, it is extraordinary maintenance when there is an unexpected issue, and EA is forced to fix it.
The most common thing they do is upgrade the server software to match updates to the game. It involves pushing server code, restarting scripts, and enabling new content. Less frequently, maintenance is about hardware.
Most of the time, it doesn’t take more than a couple of hours. However, in rare situations, it can go up to six hours. After that, you will be able to continue playing as usual.
