FIFA 23 is just around the corner, and it won't be long until we get our first look at some of the brand-new ratings for each team.
Check below to see our predictions for how Aston Villa could look in this year's game.
Top Players
It was a mixed bag for Villa last season, with a slow start resulting in the dismissal of manager Dean Smith.
Former Liverpool captain and club legend Steven Gerrard stepped into the hot seat and vastly improved Villa, before they once again came unstuck in the latter half of the season.
With stars like Coutinho, Cash and Martinez in their side, you can be sure that Villa will once again be a strong force in FIFA 23.
Emi Martinez
Aston Villa's shot-stopping hero is once again set to be their highest-rated player in FIFA 23.
A true dominator with excellent reflexes and distribution, there's no doubting that Martinez is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.
Phillipe Coutinho
The draw of Gerrard was exemplified by the arrival of Coutinho at Villa Park, with the Brazilian once again lighting up the Premier League.
Whilst we think a small drop is due on his FIFA 22 rating, there's still no doubt that this little magician will once again be casting his magic in FIFA 23.
John McGinn
With Tyrone Mings stripped of the captaincy and the flying Scotsman becoming the Villa leader, there's no doubt that McGinn deserves an upgrade once FIFA 23 rolls around.
A superstar with plenty of room to grow, McGinn could be a truly underrated gem in FIFA 23.
Transfers
Aston Villa have made some big moves in the summer window, securing deals for Boubacar Kamara, Diego Carlos and Phillipe Coutinho early on.
These deals are sure to make Villa stronger, with key players dominating each area of the field.
Whilst they may be short of a star forward, we think the arrival of Kamara - who is due an upgrade in FIFA 23 - could help make Villa one of the best teams outside of the 'big six' in FIFA 23.
Upgrades
A number of Villa players will be due upgrades in this year's game, with Matty Cash and wonderkid Jacob Ramsey the most obvious choices.
Cash has been a star for Villa for a number of years is more than deserving of an upgrade - with his national team switch also set to be represented.
Jacob Ramsey was a breakout star from last season and also deserves to be majorly boosted, with the young star one of Villa's most important players already.
Downgrades
Villa weren't exactly firing in the goals last season, and we're expecting some downgrades to reflect their struggles in front of goal.
Danny Ings - who was rated 81 in FIFA 22 - is expected to be downgraded this year, with a drop into the 70s very possible.
Elsewhere, we could see downgrades for Tyrone Mings and Douglas Luiz, both of whom had inconsistent seasons for Villa.
Overall, there's no doubting that this Aston Villa side will still be plenty of fun to use in FIFA 23.
