Live Events in FC 26 are getting a major overhaul, much like Rivals and Champions. Designed for replacing and building on friendliness, Live Events introduce new formats, match types, and ways to earn rewards in FUT. With features like tournaments, gauntlets, and integrated advancement systems, live events are set to become a new pillar of FUT's competitive structure.
Highlights include the return of high-stakes knockout tournaments and the introduction of Gauntlets, a mode that challenges your entire club. Continue with our hub to learn all the new details about Live Events in FC 26.
All New Live Events Features in FC 26

Live Events can be accessed via a brand-new Event Hub, which serves as a base for a variety of competitive match formats. These are designed to offer more diversity and structure than regular Friendlies. You'll be able to enter events with specific criteria such as:
- Completing certain objectives
- Reaching a required Rivals Division
- Meeting squad restrictions (e.g., Nation, League, Club, Rarity, Chemistry)
Each event will include customer rules and match types, including house rules like
- First to X Goals
- Mystery Ball
- Max Chemistry
- Long Range
- No Rules
- Swaps
- Survival
You will also get matchmaking options like Solo only, Co-op only, and open matchmaking. In addition, progression and rewards are now also streamlined, meaning you have to spend less time navigating menus and more time on the pitch. Also, the objectives tied to each event are clearly highlighted, and the rewards can be claimed directly in the Hub.
All New Tournament and Gauntlet Modes in FC 26

One of the biggest returns in FC 26 is Tournaments, a fan-favorite knockout format where winners progress and losers are eliminated. Matchmaking is around specific, which means you will always have to fight a player in the same stage as you. This won't run every week but will instead arrive at strategic points during the season with unique, event-specific rewards.

Gauntlets are a new Live Event mode that focuses on testing your club depth. Each Gauntlet contains a set number of matches, and here's a catch: you should use a different squad for every single match. You won't be eliminated after a loss, but the more victories you have, the better your final rewards will be. It's designed to push players to use their full club and rotate intelligently.
Integrated FC Pro Access and Streamlined Progression
For players using PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, Live Events also bring direct access to FC Pro. You'll now be able to:
- Register for FC Pro competitions directly within FUT
- Compete in regional leaderboards based on peak ELO
- Qualify for higher-level events like the FC Pro Open (PS5 only)
Live events are also replacing many old objective-based friendlies. They now offer clearer entry requirements, trackable progress, and faster access to rewards, all via a single interface.
