It may be a new year, but FC 25 continues to encounter the same old problems despite receiving various patches and improvements through the First Frost Title Update.

EA's latest Soccer title would have no doubt welcomed thousands of new players over the festive period, but developers have seemingly scored an own goal following the latest Live Tuning Update.

Update Leaves Headers 'Broken' in FC 25

A Live Tuning Update released by EA appears to have made it practically impossible to score headers in FC 25. Live Tuning Update 2, which dropped in December, included a change that considerably reduced the accuracy of contested headers. However, players are now reporting that they are struggling to get headers on target, let alone score from them.

Several FC 25 communities on Reddit have been inundated with complaints about heading in the game, with the majority of comments citing the same problem when it comes to the lack of accuracy.

One post said: "I also find it near impossible to score headers. My player can be clear favorite to win the ball and still lose the header. From corners my players will often win the header, but the ball will either go straight at the keeper or miles wide - doesn’t seem to be any middle ground."

Another comment read: "I've played more than a full season now and I still haven't scored any headers from corners or normal gameplay. The headers are always either too soft, go straight up, or fly over or wide from the goal when they have a bit of power. Is this normal in this game or am I doing something wrong?"

To answer that question, it's simply neither. The issue players are encountering with headers has almost certainly been caused by the changes made within the previous Live Tuning Update, as it was not a problem beforehand.

Time will tell if EA ends up reverting the changes and decides to increase the heading accuracy back to what it was previously, but it has become quite apparent that it is currently unbalanced and must be addressed.
