What’s new in the NBA 2K26 The City
Here's what’s new in NBA 2K26’s The City:
All-New Movement and Visuals

The City now runs at a smooth 60 FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, making traversal and gameplay more fluid than ever.
Camera panning and navigation have been streamlined, while new lighting adjustments reduce harsh shadows for outdoor games. The result is a more polished and immersive basketball hub.
A Smarter City Layout

In order to reduce downtime in between games, attractions like the Gatorade Training Facility, Arena, and Event Center Erna are positioned around the central Plaza.
Additionally, the city's perimeter is lined with well locations, including The Rec, Theater, Proving Grounds, and Swags, forming a connected ecosystem where every destination is only steps away.
Instant Build Swapping

NBA 2K26 now introduces the Swap Build feature, allowing you to switch MyPLAYER builds directly within The City. There are no loading windows or menus, just a smooth method that allows you to change your build according to what's required at any given time.
Parks Reimagined

Parks return with rotating seasonal designs and a more realistic look. Every six weeks, a new park environment debuts, alongside remastered classics like those from NBA 2K16. Skyline Park, with its dynamic courts and urban setting, is introduced in Season 1.
New features that increase intensity include:
- Park MVPs: The player with the highest rep is highlighted, and defeating him earns five times the VC and rep.
- Streak Setters & Breakers: Establish win streaks to demonstrate your superiority or break opponents' streaks to gain VC.
- Rep Boosts: Throughout the year, all Park games now provide a 25% rep bonus.
Introducing Crews
Players can form teams of up to 50 people through Crews, which serve as replacements for affiliations. By completing weekly goals, your crew can rise through 30 levels of progression, locking perks like custom clothing, boosts, and personalized apparel. Crews and cider seawater offer a new layer of community-driven competition and customization.
Challenges and Leaderboards
Players can complete challenges to earn VC, cosmetics, and progression on a daily, seasonal, and lifetime basis. Top players receive statues, pre-game flares, and other rewards as performance is tracked throughout modes and even geographical regions on updated leaderboards.
Competitive Highlights
- ProAm Summit: Seasonal 3v3 and 5v5 tournaments with leaderboard-based awards.
- Street Kings Mode: A revamped streetball experience with 40-level rewards, boss battles, and centralized courts.
My Court & Customization
Your personal court now includes more training options and a full editor for designing every detail from wood texture to basket stanchions. It's simpler than ever to sharpen skills by leaving your personal stamp on the court.
