Elden Ring's release introduces a whole new wave of frustrations that fans of FromSoftware games get to experience. The game is a constant challenge that often leads to broken souls, broken spirits, and broken gear. That's why sometimes it's a boon to strengthen that gear via Smithing Stones. With that being said, here's how to buy Smithing Stones in Elden Ring.
How to Get Smithing Stones in Elden Ring
Strengthening your armor and weapons is key in a game as difficult as Elden Ring. Apart from farming them at select locations, players have two places at which they can buy them.
The first place players can buy Smithing Stones is in an area Northwest of Liurnia of the Lakes from a giant that goes by the name of Smithing Master Iji. The second place players can buy Smithing Stones at is the Roundtable Hold from the Twin Maiden Husks.
Smithing Master Iji
Although it may not sound simple, Smithing Master Iji will be the simpler of the two options.
Once players defeat Godrick the Grafted, they'll enter the Land Between's second major area: Liurnia of the Lakes. To find him, they'll need to travel all the way to the northwest region of the lake. After that's done, they'll be met with the Kingrave Ruins. There, players will have to deal with a number of skeleton mages. Following that, they'll encounter a magic wall that disappears upon being hit. Once struck a Site of Grace will appear, and on their left, Smithing Master Iji will show.

Smithing Master Iji offers unlimited Somber Smithing Stone 1 and 2, plus a limited number of Somber Smithing Stone 3 and 4.
Twin Maiden Husks
If after Regular Smithing Stones, then players will need to visit the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold. But it won't be as easy as traversing through a ruin and purchasing it as the Twin Maiden Husks as for Smithing Miner's Bell Bearing.
To get a Smithing Miner's Bell Bearing, players will need to travel to the Raya Lucaria Cyrstal Tunnel by Liurnia of the Lakes. Once there, players will have to find a crawlspace that takes them into the Crystal Tunnel. Players will have to fight their way through the dungeon (while collecting Smithing Stones along the way) to reach the boss, Crystalian. After beating Crystalian, she'll drop a Smithing Miner's Bell Bearing which players go and give the Twin Maiden Husks.
