DOTA 2 legend Amer Al-Barkawi, better known as Miracle, announced he is taking a break for the upcoming DOTA Pro Circuit Season to address health issues.
Nigma Galaxy, Miracle's current team, didn't reveal details about the health problem affecting the player. Still, they assured the fans that the situation was temporary and that he would be back on the Roster in the future.
The 25 year-old player who won the International with Team Liquid in 2007 is considered one of the best carry players of all time.
Miracle Career
Miracle jumped to the Professional scene after becoming the DOTA 2 player with the highest MMR, an awe-inspiring record considering Amer was only 18 years old.
After an unsuccessful debut with Balkan Bears in 2015, Notail invited Miracle to be part of the recently created OG Team.
In 2016 OG won three DOTA Majors, Shanghai, Manila, and Frankfurt, becoming the first team to win that many tournaments in the same year.
However, after losing in the TI6, Miracle parted ways from OG, joining Team Liquid in 2017 and winning DOTA International in the same year.
News about Miracle retiring took the community by surprise, considering just some days before, Nigma Galaxy happily confirmed their Roster was complete with the addition of Sumail.
Nigma Galaxy Roster for the Dota Pro Circuit 2023
After missing last year's International and a poor performance which took the team to Division 2 in the West Europe Region, there was a lot of speculation about the future of Nigma Galaxy.
However, Kuroki, the team captain and founder spoke out, denying the rumors of his retirement and reassuring that the team would not suffer significant changes. But they didn't expect Miracle health will change their plans.
Team Nigma has only three days to find a new player, as the Roster for the DPC 2023 should be registered before December 9, 2022. Therefore, we can expect a big announcement in the following days.
Four former TI winners form Nigma Galaxy Current Roster:
- Sumail Hassan (Sumail)
- Ivan Ivanov (MinD_Control)
- Maroun Merhej (GH)
- Kuro Salehi Takhasomi (Kuroky)
