While the core of Deathloop is to solve the puzzle on your own and try to take out the eight Visionaries in one loop, there's a multiplayer component too.
As we said in our review, the multiplayer component can be a little annoying if you're trying to complete a mission. Julianna can invade you at the most inopportune time, making Deathloop a tad frustrating at times.
With the game receiving more attention thanks to its release on Xbox and the addition of The Golden Loop DLC, we've got a guide on how to turn off multiplayer.
How to Turn Off Multiplayer in Deathloop
The first thing that's worth noting is that you can't turn Julianna and her invasions off totally. All you can do is ensure that she is AI controlled and not controlled by another real world player.
Since the AI is a little dumber than a real world player, Julianna is a little easier to defeat with multiplayer turned off.
Now, to ensure that Julianna is only even AI controlled, follow the steps down below:
Julianna Invasion Settings
- Wait until you're between loops or time of day sections and hover the reticle over your account icon in the top left of the screen. You can see what you're looking for in the screenshot w'eve included.
- You'll then just be able to press X/click to cycle through the online options, choosing between 'Switch to Online, Switch to Friends Only, and Switch to Single Player'.
- If you want to turn multiplayer off completely, select Switch to Single Player and make sure the description reads correctly.
That will then allow you to play without being invaded by other players. As we said, though, do be aware that Julianna can still invade you at any time, in any loop and any location, so keep your wits about you.
