Control Coming To Xbox Game Pass For PC This Week

Control, the 2019 game that is seen as the benchmark for showcasing Ray Tracing, will be coming to Xbox Game Pass For PC later this week.

What Is Control?

Control was released in 2019 and is a third person action game and has a focus on telekinesis and supernatural abilities.

The game was developed by Remedy Entertainment, a studio best known for the Max Payne and Alan Wake series.

It was one of the first games to really utilise Ray Tracing and is often used to benchmark graphics cards while using Ray Tracing.

Xbox Game Pass

Game Pass is Xbox's subscription service, which gives players access to hundreds of games for a monthly fee.

The service is available on Xbox, PC, and mobile, although the games do vary platform to platform.

One huge plus for the service is all first and second party Xbox games are released on day one on Game Pass.

This includes games such as Halo, Fable, Forza, Gears of War, and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Xbox also partnered with EA to add the EA Play library to the service, which adds series' such as Star Wars, Mass Effect, FIFA, NBA, Need For Speed and many more.

Control Game Pass Release Date

It has been revealed that Control will be coming to Xbox Game Pass For PC on January 21st.

The game is already on the console version of Game Pass.

Future Control Ports

Control was released on Nintendo Switch in October 2020 via Cloud Gamine.

A next gen port for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S is set to release at some time during 2021.

The games publisher, 505 Games, received some backlash from fans by not offering a free upgrade to the next gen version for owners of the PS4 or Xbox One version of the game.
