Is Apex Legends Shutting Down in 2023?
Unsurprisingly, Apex Legends will not be shutting down in 2023, or anytime soon from the looks of things. There are a ton of exciting things and projects in the pipeline both for in-game and alongside the popular Battle Royale title.
Despite the somewhat negative fan feedback this season in particular, very little of this stems from the gameplay. A lack of attention to content does seem to be a recurring theme, however, where time is invested into paid skins and cosmetics rather than actual gameplay.
Legend balancing is in one of the worst spots it has ever been right now, where some are borderline unplayable, and others are a must. More Limited-time modes, more attention to non-BR modes, and similar complaints have plagued Apex Legends for a while now.
What to expect in 2023 and beyond
While we can't promise anything in the way of legend balancing, there are a lot of exciting things in the pipeline for Apex Legends. Perhaps the most exciting is the rumour of a TV Show, based on the lore in a fashion similar to Netflix's Arcane.
We can also expect several new seasons, assuming Respawn sticks to the usual cycle of one roughly every three months. With each of these will come a new legend, and while nothing is confirmed, it looks like Jester will be coming soon.
Many more leaks have surfaced about skins and more coming to Apex Legends in 2023. Perhaps the most exciting though is the rumour of an Uplink-style game mode, coming as a Limited Time event sometime in the future.
The good news for Apex fans is that your favourite Battle Royale won't be going anywhere any time soon. Stay tuned for all the latest news as the new year approaches.
