So far, they have found her name which is Catalyst, a holospray image, and her potential abilities.

A confirmed leak from earlier in the year corresponds with the new Legends name, Catalyst. This makes a solid argument for her entering Apex Legends.

Catalyst abilities leaks

Catalyst brings some huge game mechanics to Apex that may change everyone's playstyles forever.

There has been a gameplay video leaked to showcase the new possibilities that she brings.

This is extremely similar to Fortnite which has now removed the building aspect in one game mode.

Her leaked abilities are...

  • Catalyst's Passive: Reinforce - Standing near your ferrofluid structures, doors, and other Legends placeables will strengthen their integrity and allow them to take significantly more damage.
  • Catalyst's Tactical: Ferro Shot - On impact, the shot creates a ramp of hardened ferrofluid that can be extended with more shots. Can also be used to create platforms on walls (Max 3 structures).
  • Catalyst's Ultimate: Iron Tower - Ferrofluid rises up from below, pushing you upwards while creating a tall solid column under you.

With such a huge mechanic added to the game, it begs the question as to where Respawn will go from here.
