Apex Legends: First Trans Legend 'Catalyst' Revealed in Eclipse Update

Apex Legends finally has some official information about Catalyst. This was released in the new official trailer for the Legend.

One interesting thing to note is that the new Legend is the first-ever character to be trans in the game.

However, this marks a great step for better representation in games and increases diversity.

The trailer showed Catalyst interacting with friends in some casual activism.

Apex Legends newest trailer shows Catalyst discussing the damage done to Cleo, Boreas moon.

This leads her and another friend going to find a way to help save the moon... using explosives.

This is where Catalyst or Tressa Smith announces that she is trans and has transitioned.

Additionally, they briefly discuss the hardships of that process before going back to the mission.

Catalyst abilities

Unfortunately for the Apex Legends community, there aren't any hints or teasers about her abilities.

Apart from the fact that she is able to control ferrofluid with her mage-like abilities.

As season 15 is due to be released soon. So, we are sure to get some official updates from EA soon enough.

"The experienced terraformer and defensive conjurer Tressa Smith uses her remarkable control of ferrofluid to manipulate the battlefield."

Perhaps we will see a more defensive stance taken with the legend? She could be using shields formed from the ferrofluid she can control.
