Apex Legends mobile is finally launching in some parts of the world, following some successful test phases. Pre-registration is open in places and beginning to roll out to others as well. We have the latest on when Apex Legends Mobile will release in the UK and US, as well as everywhere else.
Latest - Registration Open in Japan
It has been open in other regions around the world, but pre-registration for Apex Legends Mobile has finally opened in Japan.
It doesn't really mean anything for the UK and US, but it's interesting that the game's move to more regions is clearly in the works.
First Apex Legends Mobile Launch Delayed
Due to events in the Ukraine, Respawn has delayed Apex Legends Mobile's first main launch to March 7, a week after initially planned.
Since they use the words "our intention" there is still a chance that the release is delayed further, but we'll keep you updated. The game will stll release in the regions planned.
As the official FAQs state, "Apex Legends Mobile will be available on Android and iOS in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia."
Those are the countries that started the original tests, so it's not much of a surprise. Since they're not the regions in the world with the largest potential Apex Legends Mobile player bases, it allows Respawn to ease the game in slowly, making sure it's ready for the eventual large influx of players.
Apex Legends Mobile UK & US Release Date
As of the first launch, Apex Legends Mobile doesn't have a concrete release date for the UK and US. It likely depends on the success of the launch in the first regions.
As stated in the FAQs, Respawn say they'll be "sharing updates on global launch once we’ve made informed decisions coming out of the limited regional launch. If you’re in one of the participating test countries, pre-registration is now open. We’re still actively testing the app around the world and we can’t wait for more players to join the fun at launch!"
We'd expect to see Apex Legends Mobile to launch sometime in Q3 2022 - maybe late in the summer. But as we said, that could change depending on how the launch goes over the next couple of months.
We'll let you know as Respawn release updates, hopefully they'll provide them pretty frequently.
