Taking a similar approach to other Battle Royales such as Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone, Respawn Entertainment is finally bringing Apex Legends to mobile devices, creating Apex Legends Mobile.
But the big question is, will Apex Legends Mobile offer crossplay?
Here's what we know so far.
Does Apex Legends Mobile support cross-play?
As it stands, Apex Legends is currently cross-platform via PC and consoles such as Xbox, PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch, but when it comes to Apex Legends Mobile joining the mix, that isn't in the cards. This can be attributed to one reason.
As opposed to just taking the game from either from PC or console and porting it to phones, the developers decided to build the game from the ground up, making it so it's specifically made for mobile, making crossplay between mobile and PC and consoles impossible.
These include optimizations for a number of devices, such as IOS devices with more than 2GB Ram and Android devices with more than 3GB RAM. There are other Android devices such as Vivo, Oppo, Huawei, Motorola, Samsung, Lenovo, and Xiaomi that also will be supported.
Like its original game, Apex Legends Mobile will be free to play with the option for players to spend money to get cosmetic goodies, and more. And like usual, these purchases won't give any advantages.
So when can players get their hands on the game?
