Apex Legends Hardcore Royale Release Date
Hardcore Royale is a game mode fans have been asking for for a long time, and it's finally making an appearance. We expect a lot of fast-paced action, as prep time suddenly becomes less important, and getting the drop on enemies is vital.
The new mode will release in Apex Legends with the launch of Celestial Sunrise, on January 24th. It will be playable for the full duration of the event, wrapping up on the 7th of January when the Date Night event arrives.
This is the second consecutive LTM to drop, with Control still live for the Spellbound Collection Event. Hopefully, Respawn will keep them coming, as the new modes are a breath of fresh air for fans.
Hardcore Royale Rules
To make sure the action in the new Apex Legends mode is as fast-paced as possible, there are a lot of changes to how the game will play. These rules make sure that players won't have the luxuries they're used to in normal Battle Royale:
- Limited HUD
- White Armor Only
- No Helmets
- Armour doesn’t spawn in Deathboxes (No Armor Swapping)
- The ring starts at max Damage
Prep time won't be nearly as useful as before, and the most successful squads will be just as vulnerable late game. If you're looking for an Apex Legends game mode with a level playing field, this is your chance.
